We will conduct a thorough assessment with you before beginning your surgery, including a long-term plan for post-surgery care.

Your General Health

Good general health is important – patients with diabetes or who are heavy smokers are more at risk of developing gum disease or infections post surgery

Local Anaesthetic

Your implant surgery will take place under local anaesthetic and you should experience no pain for the duration of the surgery. Some discomfort in the days or weeks following your treatment is normal, and we can give advice on how to manage this.

After Care

You will need to maintain very high standards of oral hygiene after your treatment to avoid infection or discomfort. Your implants can last for many years if looked after correctly.
